easter egg hunt

We made it to the eckert's easter egg hunt and more again this year. It was a fun filled day of pictures, icing cookies, bunnies and making new friends! Last year the 2 Mia's went, this year Shelby joined us! She was recently back from her stint in Germany so we inited her and her family along! It was a great time! The best is always dining at Eckert's restraunt afterwards. Three mom's and 6 kids, it wasn't hectic at all!

hopper

Hopper came to visit us, he had a brief little stay.
He's a busy frog you know, he could only stay one day.
he left us to see another friend, we were so sad to see our day end.
We loved having him as a special guest, and we think he is the best!

a month. really? a whole month?

i can't believe i have been gone that long. what have i been doing you ask? nothing spectacular. not even updating my photo blog! ahhh! work is been busy and the kids are busy. so we'll just go with "i have been busy!" LOL!

the kids are wonderful. Luca is so sweet and when he smiles it melts my heart. he has the best smile, he just radiates happiness from some place inside. i don't know how to describe it, but it makes me love him more if that is possible. on the flip side, he has an emerging temper. when he gets mad he takes his pacifier out and throws it across the room. he throws toys too so we are starting time out with him. can't have that! at his last dr visit he was 32 inches and 32lbs! he is gaining on amelia!

Miss amelia rose - what can i say about that little girl? she is so smart and she is clever. she doesn't miss a beat! she is full of spunk and sass. and i love her to pieces! She has recently learned to spell her name (mia), write her name and peddle a bike! we are so proud of her. she also completed her first round of gymnastics and is going to start t-ball soon. go mia go! and for all you soccer fans out there, she should be playing in the fall! i am so excited about that!! at her last dr check, she was 38 inches and 38lbs! wow!

St. Pat's Day 2010

Every St. Pat's day we go to the AOH parade in Dogtown. It is the best parade, and

this year it was even better! the weather was beautiful and we had great friends to party with! Already looking forward to next year!

hugo-riffic

one member of our family who can easily be overlooked is hugo. he is our chocolate lab, and was our first baby! It's hard for us to believe that he will be 8 this fall! he is a great dog and more importantly he is great with the kids. Luca loves him. He loves to lounge with him and love on him. His real name is victor hugo griffin - but he has lots of names : fat jack, gogo, hugs, hugo-riffic, big dog, choco-latte and just hugo. He is the master of puppy eyes, and is a great security system - once scaring away some telemarketers! good dog!!

for christmas, mia received a fisher price camera. She loved it and began taking pictures of everything and everyone! not too bad for a 3 yr old.

speed-skating!!! amelia love the winter olympics, calling them the "lo-lympics". the speed skating was her favorite, followed by skiing and curling! can't wait for the summer olympics so she can try swimming across the living room, or pole vaulting onto the couch.

what a handful!

Lately miss amelia had wanted to have her picture taken, over and over! she actually asks me!
I love it too! i get some fun snapshots from time to time, like the top left where luca is looking
on. the center one where she looks like she is up to something, the lower one where she is
full of attitude! oh, this is another amelia orginal - at least i know she can match her clothes!

a look ahead

I am not sure what to call this look, but I'm sure it is not the last time I will see it. Right now it seems like
a lifetime away, but one day my baby will be a teenager, and I am pretty sure
I will see this look of hers again.

gymnastics

this week was mia's first gymnastics class at the YMCA. she loved it. she was so confident, ran right in
and joined in the fun! from what we could see, she had a great time, as well as listened to directions and
followed along. she wasn't afraid to jump right up and try new things. Our Mia-girl is fearless i guess!
she walked on the even bars, forward and backwards, held herself on the longbar, jumped herself
right off the trampoline (too funny!), and dove into the foam pit! I hope she enjoys week 2 as much as she
she enjoyed wearing the leotard! she didn't want to take it off! Maybe you will see her
at the summer 2024 games!

beard envy

i saw lucas touching his pop's face and couldn't figure out what he was doing. He said
lucas does it a lot, he just comes over and stands there, touching his beard or goatee. i
guess he has beard envy :)
