The Thanksgiving Day Round-up

Who are you calling Amelia? IDK my BFF Jill.

Don't just stand there, bust a move.

Thanksgiving day was a lot of fun this year. We went to my Tia's house first. She had all the good foods we love - turkey, ham, her special potatoes (one of my fav's!), gravy and all the fixin's. We all enjoyed our Thanksgiving lunch at Tia's. After we were all fat and full, we sat around and played. Daddy played scrabble with becka, alyssa, charles and brent. Everyone else played with me! I managed to get Tia's cell phone so everyone started calling me! I, of course, thought that was great and danced to all the songs!! It was a great time.

Here are some pics from my aunt deb's house. it was also payton's birthday! How awesome is that, thanksgiving and your birthday!! She got a turkey cake in honor of her special birthday! As a gift, payton got a wonder horse! It was a lot of fun to ride. Thanks for sharing payton! Hope you all had a great thanksgiving as well!!

Chuckie Cheese: the experience

We were recently invited to go to CC with my first babysitter Linda. Linda homeschools her kids, so this was a field trip for them! Of course mommy and I were excited to go as well. This would be my first trip to CC. Linda's cousin came with her kids too. Once we got there, we had pizza for lunch. it was yummy! then Chuckie himself cam out. I was not cool with that! In fact, I screamed hsterically when he tried to get close to me. By scream, i do mean top of my lungs crying. and in response, chuckie tried to get closer to me. Mommy had to ask him to back up so i would settle down. other than that, i rode the cliffford ride, a pony, played a bowling game and in general ran around. I did keep an eye out for that giant rat. he was not getting near me again!

Halloween 2007

So for the last couple of weeks, I have been trying to decide what to do with Amelia for TOT. I had several invitations to come and TOT with other kids, but I thought she was still too small to take too many places. I finally decided to just take her to the newer houses in our town.
Early in the evening Mia's Nana came over to vist and see her in her costume. After she got off work, amelia's Buela came buy. Amelia's Tia Laura was supposed to come by but she had issues with getting off work and couldn't make it.
Amelia's buela came with us to go TOT. We went to aunt joyce's house first for a short visit. Then we went to our TOT street. There were a ton of kids there. Amelia was so excited to see all the kids! She would get so excited that she would stop in the street and stop her feet. It was too cute. She also decided that she wanted to "weee" in the street too, but she failed to tell me or her Buela! She would just turn into jelly legs and lean her head back and say weeeee. What she wanted to do was 1-2-3 and we lift and swing her. It's fummy what kids remember! Darrin and I play that game with her a lot! I will add some TOT'ing pics real soon!

The pumpkins

This year Darrin and I decided to free-hand our pumpkins instead of using the pre-made paper's. you know the ones - you poke the holes and and then connect the dots with a small knife. I don't know what they are called but we use them every year. but not this year! Here is what we came up with! I think overall they turned out great!

American Girl Place - Chicago Illinois

A month ago or so mommy's friend - and my personal photographer Lori - told mommy that she would soon be going to Chicago. Hmm. I have heard of Chicago before - i think mommy and poppa took a trip there and left me here with the grandma's. Although i had a great time with the g'ma's, i was eager to visit Chicago. It was a surprise for Hannah, Lori's daughter that we would be going. It was all planned out -leave for Springfield sunday, get up SUPER early and take the train into Chicago on monday and spend the day there. Come back monday night on another train, and stay in springfield overnight. Leave for home tuesday morning.
Everyone was SO excited. It would be everyone's first train ride! I have to say, the trip overall was great! Chicago was fabulous, although it was a bit windy and cold. We arrived in Chicago, went to the American girl store, had lunch in the AG cafe and then hit the magnificnet mile! We also visiited the Hancock observation deck while we were there. It was a wirl wind trip, but we are so glad that we were invited to tag along. The funniest part of the trip was my mommy being silly enough to think i wouldn't want a doll from the AG store. Think again mommy. I wanted every one i saw and tried to appropriate a few that were left unattended. Mommy bought me a bitty baby frog to play with. I proceded to throw them on the floor. i wanted a baby doll, not a frog! Lori helped us out and told mommy they had mini AG dolls - so that is what i got - i mini Molly dolly! I was elated to have her and played with her for 2 solid days. Pretty impressive for a 1 year old! Here are some pics from that day!

It's the great pumpkin Amelia Rose!

So it's not my first trip to the patch, but this trip was equally as fun! Momma and Poppa decided to take me to Eckert's ! to find our second pumpkin. We rode a tractor to get to the pumpkin patches and then the hunt began! It was so much fun - until I fell into the dirt, which was kinda muddy from the frost the night before. I had on my cute witch shirt that my nana bought me and my very cute old navy capri's. Luckily my mommy had a brown jacket on me so we zipped that up and I was off! I found LOTS of pumpkins that i wanted, but very few that i could lift and carry myself. On our visit to rohmbach's last week, momma found us a short round pumpkin, so this time we needed a tall thin pumpkin. Apparently this is the Neuber tradition for halloween. Poppa found us the perfect pumpkin for us! It was tall, not too many bumps, and no bad spots! I was still on the lookout for my great pumpkin, so we kept walking. Just when I was about to give up, i found it! It was the cutest little round pumpkin and it was Amelia sized! After we rode the tractor back to the general store, we picked up some apple cider wihich was SO yummy! We also splurged and had a funnel cake! I think that was my favorite. It was a fun filled day for us
