Got to see Dr. Nancy again!

We went to see Dr. Nancy! I love seeing her - she is always impressed with what i am doing. For example, she was very happy with my height, weight and my head size! No one else has ever complimented me on my head size! She said i was a baby genius too - well not exactly. She said i was advanced in some areas, like the hand to hand transfer and that i could put my paci back in my mouth! I weighed in at 16lbs, 3oz and 27 inches long! I am growing so fast - i thin kfaster than my mom and dad would like me too! i also had to get more shots! i cried, but just a little! tuesday, mommy and I went to glazed and confused and made a plate for Santa. Mommy used my foot to make a reindeer! It turned out very cute!

Today I was laying around, same as I do any other day and suddenly, it happens. I notice something hitting my hand as i kick my feet around. I reach out and grab them and to my surprice, I found my feet! Two tiny little feet! And they are conviently located at the end of my legs. I was stunned. What could i do with these feet?? Well, I quickly found out that i can grab them and kick them! I can stretch my leg out straight while i hold on to them too! Wow - i wonder what else I will find lying in my crib!

A day with poppa

Today I spent the day with my daddy, or poppa as I like to call him. Mommy got up super early to go meet my Tia and cousin Becca. They were going shopping!! i love to shop, but I would rather stay home with my poppa. We spent the day playing until mommy got home. She bought me lots of things, but they are for Christmas so I didn't get to see them. I can't wait for Christmas to get here so I can see what I got!! Only 31 days left till my first Christmas! I have added two new pics - one of me and uncle freddie on Thanksgiving and one of my Thanksgiving cards i made for everyone! It's a turkey hand!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is Thanksgiving and we all have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful for such a wonderful family. I feel quite lucky to have so many people to car eand love me. My mom, dad, nana and gramps, my buela and grandpa, my tia and uncle freddie, aunt deb and uncle mike, uncle bill and aunt jennifer, my grannie de and grampa rog and my god mother Katie! And everyone else who loves me - all my cousins, aunts uncles and friends. I have been blessed with a kind and generous family! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope this is the first of many great thanksgivings to come!

Tooth #2 has made it's appearance!!

As shocked as mommy was to find my first tooth she was even more shocked to find my second tooth so soon. Everyone has made different comments to her, such as, "the earlier you get teeth, the earlier you lose them" (who knows if that is true!), "she will probably get all her teeth early" (we shall see) and "now she is ready for table food" (i think not!). It's pretty funny how everyone has an opinion on raising a baby!! We welcome all opinions and comments, some are useful and some are just plain funny!

baby + water = lots of fun!

I have graduated from the fisher price tub to the big girl tub! i love bath time now that I am using the big girl tub! i can stretch out and kick my feet! I love to make a huge mess for mommy to clean up! The big girl tub is definitely more fun than the old tub!

Happy 4 month birthday to me!

Today I am 4 months old and it has been a busy 4 months! I have grown from 9lbs 12oz to 16lbs and 27 inches! WOW! that's a lot of growing. I also managed to get a TOOTH! Mommy was quite surprised to find that my first tooth had come in. Tomorrow is my cousin payton's birthday - I can't wait to share the good news with everyone! Trying to roll

I am currently trying to learn to roll over. I try really hard! I get up on my side and and reach for toys but i just haven't gotten all the way over. Mommy and Daddy try to help me but i get frustrated and get mad! I'm sure I will eventually learn to roll over - maybe after I learn to crawl and walk! Here are some older pics of me in my christening gown that mommy never got around to sharing - i think i look pretty cute in some of them!!

Cover your ears

I have learned to squeal!! I love nothing more than to sit in my exasaucer and squeal and yell. It's even more fun to yell, let mom or dad turn up the TV and yell over it. Sometime it sounds like i am trying to sing when i am continously yelling! i do have my down time too - here is a pic of me catching some shut eye with my poppa!

Had a special visitor over the weekend!

My cousin Brent cam to see me! He came with my Tia. We had a great visit and he got to see how Hugo dog makes me laugh out loud! All he has to do is bark and i crack up! It's pretty funny to see. I wish i could see my extended family more often - i love it when they come over!

Time to exasauce!

Today Daddy put together my exasaucer! I love my exasaucer. My only problem is that i can't reach the bottom! Mommy put a pillow under my feet so I can touch something and not be kicking in mid air! I love the toys on top and there is room for additional toys to be added! Those are fun to throw on the floor and watch mommy and daddy pick them up! It's great to be able to sit up and see everyone - like Hugo and Bootylicious! I am counting down the days till ican crawl after those two!

making new friends

today me and mommy went to see her friend Chris and her little girl Emma. We had a lot of fun! Chris and Emma got me a very cute outfit, a hello kitty book and an agel baby. I love the book - it's great chewing. Actually I like the angel baby for the same reason - i love to chew on her hands and feet! We visited with them for a long time! I'll add a pic that chris took of me at her house!

learning new things

my newest thing is holding my bottle. i can hold my bottle with a little bit of help. i really love to grab the bottle by the bottom and hold it from there. i usually end up with formula everywhere though!! oh - i still love my thumbie!

November is here!

It's another new month for Amelia - November. Amelia will be 4 months old this month! Hard for us to believe. She is growing by leaps and bounds. Sometimes she seems so big and other time so tiny and fragile. She is getting more vocal and is making funny little noises all the time. Amelia still spends time in her bouncy seat and her swing. i think we will have to put her exasaucer up soon! Her new favorite toy is her angel bunny from her Nana. it is bright pink with plastic feet and hands. She chews on it all the time!

Amelia's First Halloween

Today is Amelia's first Halloween. She is going to be a chilipepper. We don't have big plans to go trick-or-treating but we will dress Amelia up for a photo-op. Her costume is a really cute soft red fleece. I bought it 2 years ago at an after halloween sale for 5 cents. 5 cents!! Before halloween we went to Eckerdts fun farm for some pics and then took some at home too! Our only trip out was to see Amelia's cousin Cooper. he was a chili pepper too. Aunt Debbie stopped by to see Amelia too. She was a witch riding a ghost. I have added some pics too!

one foot, two foot

Amelia has discovered the TV. I knew it would happen but not this early! It doen't matter what she is doing, if she hears music or a bright color flashes up on the screen she will turn her head and crane her neck to see the TV. I don't want a TV junkie on my hands so through out the day i will turn it off. I have also started to turn on disney, noggin and such. i think these programs were designed to drive parents crazy. For example, i watched little einsteins with amelia one morning. it was Jump for Joey. Leo, Annie, Quincy, June and Rocket embark on a mission to help a Joey get to an animal talent show on time so he can show off his special talent: jumping. On their journey through the Outback, the team meets koalas, snakes and rainbow lorikeets. Music - Carmen Suit no. 1, Les Toreadors.” by Georges Bizet. Art - Aborigine Art. For anyone else who has not seen little einsteins, they focus on one music selection and sing a song to it. not too bad right? wrong. this particular selections song went "jump joey jump, jump, jump joey jump". As you can imagine I sang this little diddy in my head all day long! Amelia did seem to enjoy it though! She was mesmerized by the TV! I have added a pic of amelia in her bouncer and of bootylicious in her bouncer. For some reason, Booty thinks she should be able to sleep in the bouncer when Rosie is not in it!

We are on the lookout

for a new home! Mommy and Daddy decided we have outgrown our house and we need something bigger - much bigger! So this week was spent the week leaving our house for 30 mins here, 30 mins there! I hope someone likes our house so we can be in a new house by the first of the year! Say a prayer for us! Maybe mommy should get the patron saint for selling houses and bury him the front yard! it can't hurt! Here is a pic of me and soon to be cousin charles!! He likes to hold me when he can wrangle me away from Becka and my tia laura!

Picture Day

Mommy has already established that she loves to take pictures and so far I am her favorite subject! She has SO many pictures of me already! Today was another day of pictures for me! I try to be good and smile - sometimes I offer her a half-smile which she found so cute!

Today we went to the punkin patch! It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun! mommy took a million pics of me by the pumkins, by a scarecrow and in my costume! I am going to be a chili pepper for my first halloween! I am only going to a few houses though - i am just too small this year!

A busy week

This week has been very busy! I turned 3 months and now I can put toys in my mouth! I like to put ellie's feet in my mouth, along with my bumble bee teether! I try to get other toys in my mouth as well, but it doesn't always work! And even though i can get the toys to my mouth, I haven't figured out how to chew on them! I'm sure that will be next!

Three months old!

Today i am 3 months old! 3 months! it's hard to believe that i was born on this day 3 months ago! We have special things we do on my month birthday. We take pictures of me on my rug with my triceritops dino and a sign that says "amelia rose is 3 months old today!", we take a family self photo and mommy re-reads my birth story. It is a busy day here on the 18th of every month! Mommy also made a mold of my hand for me! it is a replica of just how small my hand is! I can't wait to see it when i am all grown up!

LOL

LOL - i can now do that!! LOL is laugh out loud! My daddy is so good about getting me to laugh! He tickles my belly and I giggle every time! it makes mommy and daddy laugh too! They love to hear me giggle! I am loving more and more of my toys - love to shake my rattles, and today i grabbed my ellie!! she is holding rings in her hand and i grabbed them! My parents think i am a baby genuis!

the new blog

Today is the first post to the new blog! Mommy was such a good blogger she maxed out our prior blog so we had to move it all and make a new one! Whew! mommy said it was exhausting! I am glad it is over! I am getting so big and developing so many new skills - I have begun batting at my toys! I love my ellie the elephant! She is the most fun, along with my elephant that plays the itsy bitsy spider! I think mom and dad get tired of that one though! I hope you continue to check up on me!! here is a picture of me reading my current favorite book - fluffy chick and friends!

Milk does a body good!

I love my milk - it is the best! And it is helping me grow big and strong! So strong I was able to grab ahold of my rattle today!! Then I gave it a good shake or 2 before I dropped it! I did this multiple times so everyone could see it! Aunt Katie saw me, mommy saw me and I did it again for Daddy! I also realized I have 2 hands!! i would stare at one and then move to the other! Imagine that - 2 hands!!

what a week!

Monday mommy went to her work place - I was able to stay home with my pappa. We had a good time! Momma was gone for a long time! I sure did miss her! On tuesday morning I went to Linda's for the day. Mommy did call and check on me and talked to me for a moment. Wednesday I went shopping with mommy and then i went to my granny De's. She kept me so mommy and daddy could go out for their anniversary! They told mommy and daddy what a good baby i was!! Who are they kidding?? My parents already knew that!!

Christ UCC

Yesterday, me, mommy and grandma went to church! I love Pastor Kim's sermons - she definatly knows how to keep an audience listening! After church we went and did a little light shopping and then came home and hung out with my poppa! I love being at home with my mom and dad! Mommy keeps telling me she has to go to work today - I'm sure going to miss her! I hope the time flies by and she is home before i know it!

baby mania!

Today me, mommy, my buela, tia laura and becka went to the baby mania sale in st. louis. It was a lot of fun! Everyone was buying me clothes and mommy bought me some new musical toys! After that we went for pizza!! Yummy! I was so glad to see my family!! I hope they come back soon!!

Happy Birthday Loriann!!

Even though mommy forgot momentarily, deep down she knew it was your birthday! She even told lil ole me it was your special day!! Today I went to the park with my cousin Payton. I slept through most of it, but from the pics, they all had a good time! I even had some pics taken with payton! Look in my baby albulm for the pics - they will be there soon!

Today i met Linda...

She is going to be my baby-sitter while mommy and daddy are at work! She has 3 kids of her own and is willing to watch me! I think we will have a lot of fun times! She has a great back yard that i will be able to crawl in eventually! She has some birds that I will probably try to get and a puppy too! What a fun place mommy is taking me while i she and daddy work!

Hello October!

A new month and new things for me to discover! I started coo-ing today! I love to giggle out loud and smile at my mommy and daddy! They are quite funny sometimes. Today me and mommy went to the Galleria and did some light shopping! I got a Christmas outfit and a new black hair bow! I don't think mommy got anything for herself though! We will have to go back and get her something next time!
