Foundations for success
Amelia is in the foundation for success program through Triad Community School District. For those in missouri,
it is similar to parents as teachers. They have bi-weekly play groups that we have started to attend. When we
arrive it's open play time, followed by music, reading and more music. Amelia loves it, especially
ms. janet and her musical instrauments. The play-dough is a favorite too!!

Happy half birthday lucas!!
Lucas is officially 6 months old. where has the time went?? wasn't i just recovering from my c-section? Wern't Lori and I just sneaking off to Target to shop with a 5 day old baby?? (shh, that's a secret!). What happened to all the sleepless night and long days spent breastfeeding and napping. Those have been traded to sleeping from 8pm to 7am, a roller and scooter, and a sitter too!! You are such a wonderful little boy lucas and we are so glad your ours!!!

standard fare
ever wonder what it is that Amelia and I do all day? Here's a sneak peak. We have been known to turn on MTV and dance around. Amelia is dancing to kelly clarkson here. She is a dancing machine!! Notice the air guitar she threw in?? That's pure talent, mastering the air guitar at 2 1/2 years. she's the reason i can't get any housework done. she is just too much fun!!

Evidence of her growing...
This set of pics not only show how much mia loves her magnets, or mamnets as she calls them but they also show how
much she has grown. I bought this outfit last spring, i fell in love with the wimsey of the shirt and the detail of the pants. yes, i called them pants. i bought them in the spring of 08 and they fit like pants, to the ankle. now, they are more like....capri's! And the shirt dress has morphed into more of a...shirt!! I still love the outfit and think it is darling on here, even more so on the new taller her!!

the antique purple paci
In the beginning, luke was not a paci boy. we tried - a lot. We bought one of every paci available and tried them. he refused them all. I was ready to give up when i found these paci's that were mia's when she was a babe. We tried them and success!! he loved them. But once I tried to get more, in say - boy colors, i discovered that playtex changed the shape and size of the nipple. Luke hated the new ones. he refused to take them. I then started searching for a replacement in the event that we needed them. I found one comparable paci - it was from a speciality store and it was $8! $8!!! seriously?? We have 2 of those replacement paci's and two of the antique ones. Let's hope that we can make it to the one year mark without too many paci losses!

44 is our new favorite number
We are Obama supporters here in my home! We are hoping he does a fabulous job as our 44th president, that he leads our country to great things, that he finds a way to balance the budget and stimulate the economy. We have great faith that he will. He has already inspired many and brought back such a feeling of unity and hope. We warmly welcome our new Commander in Chief, President Barack Obama!

"It is possible that we will have a President who not only will speak in full, complete sentences, but who will do so in a manner that is eloquent, and who will also be articulate and eloquent in delivering words he is intelligent enough to know, understand, and use in a speech he is capable of writing himself."
