American Girl Place - Chicago Illinois

A month ago or so mommy's friend - and my personal photographer Lori - told mommy that she would soon be going to Chicago. Hmm. I have heard of Chicago before - i think mommy and poppa took a trip there and left me here with the grandma's. Although i had a great time with the g'ma's, i was eager to visit Chicago. It was a surprise for Hannah, Lori's daughter that we would be going. It was all planned out -leave for Springfield sunday, get up SUPER early and take the train into Chicago on monday and spend the day there. Come back monday night on another train, and stay in springfield overnight. Leave for home tuesday morning.
Everyone was SO excited. It would be everyone's first train ride! I have to say, the trip overall was great! Chicago was fabulous, although it was a bit windy and cold. We arrived in Chicago, went to the American girl store, had lunch in the AG cafe and then hit the magnificnet mile! We also visiited the Hancock observation deck while we were there. It was a wirl wind trip, but we are so glad that we were invited to tag along. The funniest part of the trip was my mommy being silly enough to think i wouldn't want a doll from the AG store. Think again mommy. I wanted every one i saw and tried to appropriate a few that were left unattended. Mommy bought me a bitty baby frog to play with. I proceded to throw them on the floor. i wanted a baby doll, not a frog! Lori helped us out and told mommy they had mini AG dolls - so that is what i got - i mini Molly dolly! I was elated to have her and played with her for 2 solid days. Pretty impressive for a 1 year old! Here are some pics from that day!
